Stone is Expanding!

Good news for Stone Brewery. The brewers of some of the best beer in Southern California are starting off on a $26 million expansion, including looking to open a brewery in Europe. They plan to open a second restaurant in the San Diego area, in addition to doubling the capacity of the current brewery. Great news for fans of their beer, such as me! Now maybe my local Costco will carry their IPA more often. It's like a second Christmas when I walk in and they have cases of it on hand.

What to do after a night of beer!

All of my previous posts have been dedicated to what to drink when you need a night of relaxation. But what happens when you relax too much? Fortunately, I have an answer for that too. All of us beer drinkers have woken up with a slight parched feeling and throbbing head at one time or another. There are things we could have done to prevent that, it turns out! A simple one is to make sure you are adequately hydrated prior to going to bed. A great way to do this is with coconut water. Sounds weird, I know. I thought it was too when my friend suggested it to me. But it works. I'm not sure what is in it that makes it work (possibly electrolytes), but I know that after a few heavy nights, I've still been ready to go in the morning thanks to coconut water. Enjoy!

Green Flash Brewery

If you love IPAs as I do, treat yourself to a Green Flash West Coast IPA. This is one of the best IPAs I have had. Green Flash is a small San Diego County Brewery that churns out great beers. For those of you that live in Southern California, you may be lucky enough to find this beer on tap at your local establishment. Those of you that live elsewhere may want to try your local BevMo. Either way, search it out. It is worth the effort.
